Everyday I start my day fasting. I don’t eat breakfast, instead, I drink coffee with butter and oil.
I started doing this about a year and a half ago after reading the health benefits of the ketogenic diet.
My keto “discovery” was not intentional as I was looking to integrate my business life and my personal life into one unified life. It led me down a path of self discovery where I found this new way of eating.
My goal was to grow my business and make a difference in my community at the same time. As I started to reflect on how to best achieve this I came across an amazing discovery.
While reading the book “How to Fail at Almost Everything, and Still Win Big” by Scott Adams, I came across an undeniable truth. Scott only has one metric with which he measures regularly–ENERGY.
I wanted financial success but realized that I could not achieve it without intellectual resources. But, in order to build my intellectual resources I needed personal energy.
Personal energy applied to your intellectual pursuits will lead to financial health.
Bottom line is that you need energy to navigate this life. Sustainable energy can only be achieved with a healthy lifestyle.
What is a healthy lifestyle?
We won’t try to answer this question in one blog post, however, I think we can all agree that diet and exercise are the foundation.
Energy-THE key performance indicator.
