As a sports fan I have watched hundreds of games in my life. Over time I discovered the importance of communication in the world of sports. Without a saying a word, a point guard with his eyes can guide a teammate to a particular spot on the court and deliver the ball exactly where it’s needed. On time, on a dime, amidst the chaos.
How does he do this?
My son and my daughter both played sports growing up. I could always tell before the games how well they would play on that particular day. Their body language was an outward indication of their inner confidence.
Where do we get confidence?
Practice. Simple as that.
You wanna make the free throw in the clutch? You gotta first make it in practice.
What does your body language tell your clients? How do your teammates feel about you handling the ball?
Confidence doesn’t magically show up on game day.
Confidence comes through practice.
